I got this toy at the end of the summer to add a new element to our beach toys. It worked really well, as my son, who is 6, played with it in the surf, and also built canals etc. for his castles so it could sail around. One drawback is it doesn't float upright because there is no weight at the bottom. A little wet sand or pile of shells solves the problem. Good durable toy.
