The nice thing is you get plenty of them. The problem is they are not very durable. They are nice though when you are sifting for smaller material out in the field. My son and I use them for sifting red beryl at Topaz Mt. and sunstone at Sunstone Knoll. We have sifters with bigger mesh to move more material when we are looking for larger things. But these work great for these specimens which are not very big. The material that is sifted though, needs to be plenty dry when using these sifters, no way around that. I also find that these sifters are just the right size for younger rock hounds, you can pack them full and they aren't too heavy.
