I purchased this toy for my son who is 4yrs old. The toy was ok. It can be tricky to get the mooon dough out of the small breakfast topping compartments and he would get frustrated with that. I like the toy because it isn't as messy as playdough and easy cleanup:) It isn't really an educational toy at all unless you give your child quizes to make different foods and see if he or she can do it. For the price I think it is worth the money but I wouldn't spend more on it.
